Just a year or two ago, most of our answers were found on sites. Humans wrote content to be famous or make money and google read their content and sent traffic their way. So they had motivation to keep creating.
Now Google, Perplexity, ChatGPT and others provide their AI answer on their sites, and people don't need to visit sites.
The answer is also very good... so why would they.
But, since now people don't get traffic anymore, they don't get famous or make money and so why bother make content?
If they don't make content, then where would AI get their content? Well most likely from other AI made content... and as good as it is it's not human made and the quality and originality isn't the same.
